Summary of Responsibilities
The Eviction Support Specialist is responsible to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with local county and state eviction processes while minimizing legal risk to Avenue5 through quality control, training and on-going operational support.
Primary Responsibilities and Objectives
· Lead dedicated weekly eviction review meetings to discuss active cases, legal developments, and property-specific challenges
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
· Three to five years of property management experience is required
· Prior experience in Yardi or another equivalent property management system is required
· Knowledge of resident ledgers and understanding of move out statements
Skills and Requirements
· High degree of initiative and problem-solving ability
· Intermediate level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
· Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management effectively and sensitively
· Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to cope and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people
· Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses, if assigned
Scheduling
· Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends, and non-traditional holidays
Environment
· Exposure to the environment typically found in an office building
Physical Requirements
