POSITION SUMMARY
The Event Manager serves as the strategic and operational lead for the Schauer Center’s non-performance facility rentals. This role is charged with driving revenue growth through the development and management of a diverse client portfolio, including corporate partners, event planners, and private individuals seeking premier spaces for weddings, meetings, and special occasions. Operating with a "hands-on" ownership mindset, the Event Manager acts as the primary point of contact from initial inquiry through event completion. The role ensures high-quality client experience and maintains strict alignment with Schauer Center brand standards, coordinating complex logistics to deliver seamless execution for every event hosted on-site.

Weekly Hours: Regular Part Time, 20-25 hours per week
Base Pay: $18.00 per hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Strategic Growth
· Own the Sales Pipeline: Identifying new market segments and proactively conducting site tours for prospective clients.
· Strategic Positioning: Shape long-term rental strategies that align with organizational revenue goals and market trends.
· Market Presence: Cultivate relationships within the local business community, including the Chamber of Commerce and regional networking groups, to position the Schauer Center as a destination of choice.
· Inventory Maximization: Proactively promote all facility assets—including the Lodge, Pikes Peak, Gallery, and Courtyard—to maximize occupancy.
Oversight & Client Management
· Lifecycle Management: Own the full lifecycle of rental engagements, including rapid inquiry response, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
· Financial Oversight: Manage invoicing and post-event follow-up to secure repeat business.
· System Integrity: Maintain accurate, real-time client and booking records within Momentus Elite.
Event Execution & Operational Excellence
· Logistical Planning: Coordinate all logistics for public spaces, including the of detailed room layouts.
· Event Leadership: Provide on-site coverage for high-stakes events such as Galas and Weddings to ensure flawless execution. For smaller events, ensure operational continuity by preparing comprehensive event briefings and Event Orders for the House Management team to execute in the Manager's absence.
· Standardization: Maintain the Event Services manual and ensure all events comply with facility usage policies and safety standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
· Vendor Relations: Act as the primary liaison with in-house catering partners and external service providers to ensure integrated service delivery.
· Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with the internal marketing team to develop targeted promotional campaigns and collateral.
· Resource Coordination: Partner with technical and cleaning teams to ensure all facility and equipment requirements are met prior to guest arrival.
