    Location

    (Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

    Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

    Job Summary

    Schedules assigned events and manages event contracts. Arranges room reservations and event space set-up. Primary contact for customers; assists with planning, reservations, and logistics. Adheres to event policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

    1. Provides professional client services in all related event logistics

    2. Coordinates necessary arrangements with campus support groups for events: Public Safety, UITS, Residence Life, Parking, Campus Operations, and EHS

    3. Troubleshoots the Event Reservation System challenges for clients either by phone, email, or in-person

    4. Coordinates with support groups for appropriate event coverage

    5. Produces contracts and invoices for events, monitors the collection of fees, and provides payment information to appropriate personnel.

    6. Creates diagrams and floor plans with setup requirements.

    7. Develops and/or coordinates event timelines and run-of-show documents as needed

    8. Checks set-up for scheduled events as needed

    9. Provides on-site event support, including after-hours and weekend events on both campuses and/or other venues as assigned

    10. Assists with set-ups as needed

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Other Required Qualifications

    Current, valid and unrestricted drivers license

    Required Experience

    One (1) year related work experience or at least two (2) years of student employment experience with a concentration in event coordination or facility management or the successful completion of the KSU Night Owl program competencies as documented by the manager.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel, in particular)

    Proficient in CAD software

    Preferred Educational Qualifications

    An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

    Preferred Experience

    Event Management System or similar event software experience

    Experience creating and updating excel spreadsheets

    Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, Event Management System or similar event software experience)

    Strong attention to detail

    Strong customer service skills including phone and e-mail etiquette
