    POSITION SUMMARY

    Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Events, the Events and Sponsorship Manager plays a

    significant role in helping The King’s Trust USA to engage with strategic partners and deliver high-impact

    events for existing and prospective supporters, as well as young people. The ideal candidate will be highly

    organized, creative, proactive, and possess exceptional communication skills. In this role, you will be

    responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of US-based events throughout the year,

    ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for attendees while aligning with our mission to empower

    young people to transform their lives.

    The position works directly with King’s Trust USA staff, partners, and supporters, but has on-going interaction

    with The King’s Trust Group, which provides essential capacity, experience, and expertise.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage all facets of designated King’s Trust USA fundraising, cultivation, and programmatic events

    from inception through completion, while demonstrating independence and resourcefulness

    throughout the process.

    Research potential corporate and/or organizational sponsors and partners for events and prepare

    proposals and contracts for their participation in order to increase sponsorship revenues.

    Ensure all sponsor and partner-related contractual obligations are tracked and fully delivered in timely

    manner.

    Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders by partnering on event

    objectives, strategy, and timelines.

    Develop and manage event timelines, communicating deadlines and assignments to key stakeholders.

    Manage event budgets including invoice processing, expense tracking, adhering to financial deadlines,

    and reconciling budgets post-event.

    Negotiate and review vendor contracts and fees and present to senior management for approval as

    appropriate.

    Oversee printed and digital event collateral including sponsorship decks, save the dates, invitations,

    programs, signage, and any other materials.

    Develop plans for photography and/or video documentation for future marketing usage.

    Work closely with Communications team to deliver the agreed strategic approach to event themes,

    onsite branding, messaging, social media posts, and post-event communications.

    Supervise all on-site event logistics pre- and post-event, including vendors and support staff, ensuring

    seamless experience for all attendees.

    Source and secure items for event auctions, raffles and guest goody bags.

    Work with Salesforce CRM and other event management platforms to run reports, manage guest lists,

    RSVPs and attendance, update guest contact details and biographies, record donations and related

    follow-ups.

    Prepare post-event debriefs to provide insights on attendance, performance metrics, financial results,

    and suggestions for future event improvement.

    Develop, present and execute new event concepts to increase revenue for existing events.

    Proactively introduce tools and processes to push the events to greater heights.

    Maintain knowledge of new vendor offerings in the market (venues, catering, AV, florists, décor,

    etc.)

    Supervise King’s Trust USA support team administrative and creative tasks, as related to managed

    events and work product, providing clear direction and guidance.

    Support the high-profile King’s Trust Global Gala where necessary.

    Other duties as assigned by Director of Strategic Partnerships and Events to fully meet with

    requirements of the position and charity.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s Degree

    Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in planning and executing a diverse range of events -- charity

    fundraising events is preferred but not required.

    Demonstrated success securing and managing event sponsorships up to $50,000.

    Arrive in role with existing strong industry vendor relationships you will leverage (venues, catering,

    AV, florists, décor, etc.).

    Comprehensive organizational abilities including project management and time management skills

    to handle multiple tasks and details efficiently and accurately.

    Proven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneously.

    Ability to brainstorm and implement innovative event concepts aligned with our brand and mission.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and

    external partners, senior leadership, vendors and guests.

    Calm presence, strong voice, and able to operate in high-stress situations.

    Ability to problem-solve, manage conflicting priorities, handle challenging personalities, and the

    ability to adapt to changes during events.

    Proficiency in budget planning and management, ensuring events are cost-effective and meet or

    exceed agreed ROI.

    Experience in successfully negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and sponsors.

    Comfortable working with range of software and tools used to deliver events.

    Must be flexible and willing to work irregular and/or extended hours, including evenings and

    weekends, as required by event schedules.

    Ability to travel within the United States is essential.


    ADDITIONAL

    The full-time role is in our New York office at least four (4) days a week with flexibility over the

    summer and holiday periods.

    This position necessitates a commitment to adhering to company policies outlined in the employee
