Located in Humble, TX, AURA Systems provides professional audio, video, lighting, and live event production services throughout the Houston area. From corporate events to concerts and special productions, our team delivers the equipment, technical expertise, and support that bring events to life.
We're seeking a motivated, dependable, and technically minded Event Technical Specialist II to support our equipment operations, logistics, and live event productions. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems, and being part of a growing production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, inspect, test, and maintain audio, video, lighting, and related production equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage equipment check-in/check-out procedures and assist with inventory tracking using Current RMS.
- Prepare, organize, load, and secure equipment for safe transportation to and from event locations.
- Participate in event deliveries, pickups, load-ins, setups, strikes, and load-outs.
- Provide hands-on technical support across audio, video, lighting, and backline systems during live productions.
- Operate company box trucks (16-26 ft) as needed; a valid driver's license is required.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and identifying maintenance or repair needs.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory of shop supplies to maintain operational readiness.
- Communicate effectively with team members using company communication and scheduling tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and working environment.
- Contribute to improving and documenting operational procedures as the company continues to grow.
Candidate Profile
- Familiarity with professional audio, video, lighting, or live event production equipment is preferred.
- Comfortable working with technology, learning new systems, and following technical procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment and assisting with truck loading and unloading.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and occasional late-night hours.
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and a valid driver's license are essential.
- A mobile phone with data service is required for team communication and job-site coordination.
- Ability to work independently when appropriate and collaborate effectively with a production team.
- Part-time availability with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs.
