Job Position: Event Operations Specialist

Position Overview

Our Direct Client is looking for an organized, dependable, and hands-on Event Operations Specialist member to support conference center and event operations. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of audio/visual equipment, and the ability to perform physical setup activities while working independently and following established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange furniture and equipment for conference rooms and events.
• Set up and troubleshoot sound, audio, and visual equipment, including mixers, monitors, microphones, speakers, podiums, and related equipment.
• Review event worksheets, organize timelines, and plan setup activities.
• Assess event locations and gather the required furniture and equipment.
• Transport furniture and equipment to and from storage areas.
• Ensure conference rooms and event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable.
• Reset event spaces within the required timeframe.
• Support weekend events and serve as the point of contact during assigned events.
• Perform cleaning duties, including carpet cleaning using commercial-grade equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience transporting and moving furniture and equipment in conference rooms or similar environments.
• Knowledge of sound, audio, and visual equipment.
• Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends.
