As Northern California's first certified Green Business caterer, Global Gourmet is trusted by Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders to deliver exceptional service at some of the region's most prestigious venues and large-scale events.Our teams span culinary, warehouse, logistics, administrative, and field-based roles across a range of high-profile and high-volume event environmentsWe are seeking experienced and professional Event Managers to join our seasonal team at Mountain Winery.Position SummaryThe Event Manager is responsible for overseeing on-site event execution from setup through breakdown, ensuring a seamless guest experience and alignment with client expectations. This role serves as the key operational leader during events, coordinating staff, managing service flow, and responding quickly to real-time needs in a fast-paced environment.What You'll DoYou will lead the on-the-ground execution of catered events, ensuring all operational elements come together smoothly. This includes reviewing event timelines and service plans, guiding front-of-house teams, and coordinating closely with culinary, bar, and logistics leads to ensure timing and service standards are met.You'll also serve as the main point of contact during events, communicating professionally with clients, venue partners, and internal teams. Strong problem-solving skills are essential, as no two events are the same and adaptability is key to success in this role.In addition, you will support staff leadership by directing on-site teams, reinforcing service expectations, and ensuring consistent execution throughout the event. After each event, you will assist with final walkthroughs, documentation, and reporting to support continuous improvement.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking candidates who bring both leadership experience and a calm, solutions-focused approach in fast-paced hospitality environments.Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, catering, or related operationsStrong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support on-site teamsExcellent communication skills and confidence working with clients and venue partnersAbility to stay organized and make quick decisions in high-pressure environmentsExperience working in food and beverage or large-scale event settings preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to high service standardsWeekend availability required due to event schedulesPreferredFamiliarity with event timelines, service flow, and venue coordinationFood Handler Certification (preferred)Experience working across culinary, bar, and logistics teamsProficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft OfficePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to move throughout event venues during serviceOccasionally lift and carry items up to 25 poundsReasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.Why Join Us?Flexible schedulingDynamic event environmentOpportunity to work at one of the Bay Area's premier event venuesSupportive and team-oriented cultureDiversity & InclusionGGC is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
