Event Facility Grounds Worker

Overview

This position is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and readiness of a community space in Clinton. This position performs a combination of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work, event preparation, janitorial services, and supervisory duties, including oversight of trustees. Communication with other members of management is crucial.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of assigned properties including mowing, landscaping, painting, and general repairs.

Maintain livestock barns, arenas, and related facilities including setup and teardown for shows and events.

Assist with maintenance and repairs at other assigned facilities.

Operate, service, and perform routine maintenance on mowers, tractors, and other equipment.

Acquire, track, and maintain and adequate inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for operations.

Coordinate with vendors for repairs that exceed in-house capabilities.

Assist with planning and operations for various events.

Perform janitorial and custodial duties, including collecting and disposal of trash.

Serve as the primary point of contact for event planners. Supervisor and assign tasks, monitor work.

Qualifications

Possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma Driver's License

Frequently required to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb and reach.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve varying weather conditions.

Work schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, Holidays.

Exposure to noise, chemicals, livestock, mechanical equipment, and uneven terrain.

Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs., with heavier items moved using team lifting, mechanical assistance, or equipment as appropriate.
