Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PostgreSQL database migration and modernization projects.
- Design and implement PostgreSQL solutions on AWS (RDS/Aurora).
- Drive database performance tuning, HA/DR, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Lead migration planning, execution, cutover, and post-migration support.
- Mentor DBAs and developers and provide technical leadership.
- Collaborate with architects, application teams, and business stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of database experience with 5+ years in PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration, replication, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Strong AWS experience (RDS PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS DMS, AWS SCT).
- Experience migrating Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server databases to PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Python/Shell scripting, Terraform, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or Database Specialty).
- Experience in Banking and Financial Services.
- Experience with large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.
