Description



HEPCO Inc. is seeking an experienced ETL Developer to support the New York State Office of Mental Health on Enterprise Data Warehouse initiatives and related OMH projects. This role will focus on Informatica PowerCenter ETL development, administration, data warehouse enhancement, and secure handling of healthcare data in a hybrid environment based in Menands, New York.

Position overview
The selected consultant will support existing and future OMH data warehouse projects, including ETL processing, Informatica administration, and redesign and implementation efforts tied to enterprise reporting and operational data needs. The work includes translating healthcare and business data requirements into robust ETL solutions that support admission, discharge, census, financial, billing, payroll, Medicaid, pharmacy, and related data domains.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyze and translate business and patient health data requirements into ETL code using Informatica PowerCenter and related tools.
  • Support ETL processes, Informatica administration, and the redesign and implementation of current and future OMH data warehouse projects.
  • Participate in data warehouse design and architecture planning using Kimball methodology, star schema design, and dimensional data modeling techniques.
  • Collaborate with development teams in a lead capacity to design Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows and database architecture using advanced data warehousing concepts.
  • Extract, review, and interpret Informatica metadata repository data to improve ETL operations and support project delivery.
  • Implement Oracle Virtual Private Database and Fine-Grained Auditing controls to protect healthcare data, including Medicaid, pharmacy, and HIPAA-protected information.
  • Develop and maintain complex UNIX or Linux scripts for file validation, FTP processing, and workflow monitoring.
  • Perform Informatica administration activities, including installation, patching, deployment, metadata analysis, code migration, and repository optimization.

Required qualifications
  • 84 months of experience using Informatica PowerCenter 10.5.x or higher and Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud in a data warehouse environment, including development of complex mappings.
  • 84 months of experience with Informatica PowerCenter administration, including installation, patching, metadata analysis, ETL code migration, and repository optimization.
  • 84 months of experience with relational data management and Oracle technologies, including Oracle Virtual Private Database and Fine-Grained Auditing in an enterprise environment for data warehousing.
  • 84 months of experience analyzing and converting heterogeneous health systems data, including admission, discharge, census, financial, billing, human resources, payroll, Medicaid, and pharmacy data, into ETL solutions.
  • 60 months of experience working with UNIX and/or Linux operating systems.
  • 60 months of experience leading or collaborating with developers on ETL and database architecture design using advanced data warehousing concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business intelligence, information science, or a related field.

Preferred profile

The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare data experience, a solid understanding of enterprise data warehouse architecture, and the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders in a regulated environment. Experience supporting secure data environments and modern ETL administration practices will be especially valuable in this assignment.

Pay Range: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
