Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on ETL
Developer Lead with strong expertise in Informatica Intelligent
Cloud Services (IICS) and Snowflake, who can design, develop,
and lead scalable data integration and engineering initiatives. This role
requires deep end-to-end ETL development knowledge, from architecture
through deployment, with a focus on performance, automation, and data quality.
Experience with Python and AWS is highly preferred,
while familiarity with banking or financial regulatory data is a
plus.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Architecture
- Design, build, test, and document end-to-end ETL and
ELT solutions leveraging Informatica IICS and Snowflake.
- Architect and implement high-performance, scalable
data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing.
- Define and enforce data lineage, data mapping, and
transformation standards to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Design and operate data models and lakehouse
solutions supporting reporting, analytics, and data science.
- Implement data ingestion and automation frameworks using
IICS, Python, and SQL-based workflows.
- Ensure data cataloging, metadata management, and
lineage validation are integrated throughout ETL processes.
- Design and implement data security, auditing, and
change management processes aligned with enterprise standards.
Leadership & Delivery
- Lead a team of data engineers in solution design,
sprint execution, and delivery of high-quality data assets.
- Mentor junior technologists and contribute to
professional development within the data engineering team.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, scrum
masters, and cross-functional teams to define stories, prioritize
deliverables, and align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Drive adoption of Agile methodologies, coding
standards, peer reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment
(CI/CD) best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and
release management activities.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and
recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Operations & Optimization
- Continuously improve and stabilize ETL automation,
monitoring, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
- Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance,
scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to data governance, cataloging, and
system documentation, ensuring shared understanding of data assets.
- Partner with data quality and operations teams to
maintain reliable production systems and resolve issues proactively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Science, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent combination of
education and experience (12+ years in technology).
- 7+ years of experience in Data
Engineering and ETL development, including architecting and
implementing scalable data applications and pipelines.
- 7+ years of hands-on ETL
development experience with Informatica, including 4+ years with
Informatica IICS.
- 5+ years of experience designing
and developing Snowflake-based data solutions and workflows.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS
cloud services (S3, Glue, EC2, Lambda) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for
ETL automation and data transformation.
- Experience with data lineage, data quality, cataloging,
and metadata management.
- Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse environments
and best practices.
- Experience implementing software engineering
standards including Agile delivery, source control, testing, and
peer reviews.
- Proven ability to mentor, lead, and collaborate with
cross-functional engineering and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Informatica IICS Certification
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or
equivalent certification
- Experience in banking or financial services,
especially with regulatory or compliance data
- Exposure to Dataiku or similar data science
and automation platforms
