    Description:

    CTG is seeking to fill an ETL Data Engineer – Informatica PowerCenter position for our client.

     

    Location: Atlanta, GA
    Duration: 4 months

     

    Duties:

    • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter to support enterprise data warehouse and regulatory reporting requirements.

    • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable data integration solutions.

    • Perform data profiling, source system analysis, and business rule validation to support data integration initiatives.

    • Design and implement Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to transfer data from operational and external environments into business intelligence and data warehouse environments.

    • Optimize ETL workflows for performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability using established tuning techniques and best practices.

    • Investigate and resolve production issues, ETL failures, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks through detailed root cause analysis.

    • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.

    • Perform impact analysis for source system changes and assess downstream effects on ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.

    • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, developers, and other technical teams throughout the data integration lifecycle.

    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, ETL specifications, and operational procedures.

    Skills:

    • Strong proficiency with Informatica PowerCenter and enterprise ETL development.

    • Solid understanding of ETL architecture, data integration patterns, and data warehouse concepts.

    • Experience with data profiling, source-to-target mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes.

    • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

    • Ability to analyze complex data flows and identify data integration issues and performance bottlenecks.

    • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

    • Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence environments.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

    • Familiarity with other enterprise data integration tools such as Ab Initio or IBM DataStage/WebSphere Data Integration Suite is a plus.

    Experience:

    • Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter.

    • Experience working with data integration projects involving operational, external, data warehouse, and business intelligence environments.

    • Experience analyzing business and technical requirements and converting them into effective ETL solutions.

    • Experience with production support, ETL troubleshooting, data discrepancies, and performance optimization.

    • Experience performing source system analysis, impact analysis, data profiling, and business rule validation.

    • Experience supporting regulatory reporting or other data-intensive enterprise applications is preferred.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
