Estimator & Steel Project Manager - Fabrication/Erection

Looking for a role where you can estimate the work and then see it through to erection? A steel fabricator and erector serving the North Kansas City area, focused on structural and miscellaneous steel packages, is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager. It's a strong fit for an early- to mid-career professional who wants to grow on both sides of the job.

What you'll do:

• Perform takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Put together bids and proposals, including quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Run awarded projects through fabrication and erection, owning schedule, budget, and change orders
• Track project costs and manage RFIs and submittals
• Keep general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews coordinated

What you bring:

• 2-8 years of experience in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction role
• Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• Comfort reading structural and architectural drawings
• Estimating software experience is a plus
• An engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
