Estimator / Project Manager - Steel Fabrication & Erection

We're hiring an Estimator / Project Manager for a Kansas City steel fabricator and erector specializing in structural and miscellaneous steel packages. This is a great fit for an early- to mid-career professional who wants to grow across both estimating and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quantity takeoffs and estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Prepare bids and proposals; solicit quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Manage awarded projects through fabrication and erection: schedule, budget, and change orders
• Coordinate with detailers, the shop, field crews, and general contractors
• Handle RFIs and submittals and track project costs

Requirements:

• 2-8 years of experience in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction role
• Able to read structural and architectural drawings
• Familiarity with structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• Estimating software experience a plus
• Construction management or engineering degree, or equivalent experience, preferred

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
