Estimator - North Jersey Multifamily

An established and growing general contractor is seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Estimator to join its expanding preconstruction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with luxury residential construction experience to contribute to large-scale projects while developing their career within a collaborative and highly regarded organization.

They have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use construction projects ranging from approximately $20M to over $100M in value.

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for luxury residential and multifamily construction projects.
• Analyze construction documents, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate budgets.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, bid preparation, and proposal development.
• Collaborate closely with project management, operations, and preconstruction teams throughout the estimating process.
• Maintain estimating databases and support continuous improvement of estimating procedures.
• Participate in value engineering exercises and cost-saving recommendations.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Profile

The Successful Candidate

• 2+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Experience estimating luxury residential construction projects is required.
• Exposure to high-rise multifamily projects valued at $20M+ is highly preferred.
• Junior candidates with limited estimating scope will be considered if they demonstrate strong aptitude and a willingness to learn.
• Mid-level candidates should possess hands-on experience with BuildingConnected and Procore.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and construction technology platforms.
• Stable work history with demonstrated career progression. Frequent job changes will not be considered.
• Ability and willingness to work in-office five days per week in a collaborative team environment.
