Description:
Blue Sky Tie Down System is a unique company working in the Multifamily Construction industry. Our company has structural engineering, manufacturing, project management, and wholesale components. We are actively seeking a professional to join our estimating team.
Responsibilities:
-Understand general wood framing construction and how it relates to blueprints
- Extract a list of materials from a blueprint while providing details to the location and qtys of materials
- Review material lists provided by other sources and make list ready to be shipped
-Work with other teams to determine which materials and how many will be required.
- Help to communicate with field teams on useage of materials and identify potential over use or misinterpretation by field teams
-Keep track of project data pts from each project against the takeoff data.
Qualifications:
- 3-5yrs estimating experience (preferred).
*Willing to train. Pay is reflected upon experience at time of hire. Pay is directly reflected to ability to add to the overall Blue Sky Team.
- Must be able to read blueprints (required)
- Experience with Simpson Strong Tie Hardware (preferred)
- Good Communication skills
- Proficient with Plan Swift (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Suites (required)
*A basic skill set with Microsoft Excel is required.
