Estimator / Construction Estimator / Cost EstimatorOur client is a top-tier General Contractor specializing in MTA, heavy civil, and infrastructure construction projects across New York City. They deliver large-scale projects ranging from $50M to $100M+ and are known for their strong backlog and reputation in the public works sector. Due to growth, they are hiring an Estimator / Construction Estimator / Cost Estimator to support preconstruction on major transit projects.Develop detailed construction cost estimates for MTA / heavy civil projectsPerform quantity takeoffs, material takeoffs, and scope analysisReview construction drawings, plans, and specificationsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, vendor pricing, and proposalsAssist with bid preparation, bid leveling, and value engineeringCollaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Preconstruction teamsAnalyze project risks, budgets, and cost trendsUse estimating software (Bluebeam, OST, ProEst, Excel)Support public bid submissions, RFPs, and design-build proposalsMaintain accurate cost databases, historical pricing, and bid logsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
