    Position Overview:

    Eagle Fire is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Estimator to review bid documents and construction drawings and prepare detailed estimates for fire sprinkler projects. Estimates include labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. This role works closely with sales, management, and operations to support timely, accurate proposals and the successful turnover of awarded projects.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Review assigned bid opportunities received through the team sales inbox and confirm project scope, requirements, and deadlines.

    • Review construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, and quotations to prepare complete cost estimates within the bid schedule.

    • Perform labor and material takeoffs and estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

    • Use Bluebeam and the Company quoting system to develop estimates and prepare project cost breakdowns.

    • Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor pricing and incorporate applicable costs into estimates.

    • Identify scope questions, assumptions, and exclusions and coordinate with management and sales before submitting proposals.

    • Manage multiple assigned bids and communicate progress and deadlines to the team.

    • Participate in weekly team meetings to review bid activity and priorities.

    • Assemble estimate materials for turnover to project management when projects are awarded.

    • Complete continuing education necessary to maintain certifications and/or licenses required for the position.

    • Follow all Company standards, procedures, and safety policies, including exercising the authority to stop unsafe acts.

    • Perform other related duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Three to five years of relevant experience in fire protection, construction, estimating, sales, or a related field preferred.

    • Fire sprinkler technician experience, including a transition into estimating or sales, is valued.

    • NICET certification in water-based systems preferred; relevant experience and certification will be considered together.

    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and fire sprinkler drawings.

    • Practical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and applicable fire protection codes and standards.

    • Understanding of labor and material takeoffs and the ability to prepare detailed project cost estimates.

    • Ability to use Bluebeam and learn the Company quoting system.

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and bid deadlines.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, customers, and team members at all levels of the Company.

    • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office programs.

    Candidates with experience reading construction drawings and the ability to learn fire sprinkler estimating are encouraged to apply.

    • Ability to use a telephone, computer, and other office equipment.

    • Ability to review electronic and printed project drawings and documents.
