Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects from concept through completion
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and quotes
- Conduct site visits and assessments to identify potential project risks and cost factors
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimate accuracy
- Track and maintain bid schedules, deadlines, and proposal documentation
- Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality
Requirements:- 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial and/or civil construction
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor trades
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
