Estimator - K-12 Construction
Join a respected construction organization with a diverse portfolio of commercial projects and a strong reputation for delivering quality work. Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates. Lead hard bid pursuits and develop competitive pricing strategies. Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals. Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify risks and opportunities. Participate in bid reviews and preconstruction meetings. Support conceptual budgeting and preconstruction efforts for CMAR opportunities. Assist with value engineering and constructability reviews. Coordinate with project management teams to ensure seamless project handoff. Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.

A successful Estimator - K-12 Construction should have: 5+ years of construction estimating experience required. 7-10 years of estimating experience strongly preferred. Extensive hard bid experience highly preferred. Experience preparing detailed commercial construction estimates. CMAR project experience is a significant advantage. Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost controls. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Permanent Estimator - K-12 Construction position in Houston. Salary of $100,000 to $120,000. Fuel card provided. Employee healthcare coverage paid 100% by the employer. 401(k) with vesting after 2 years. On-site gym and 2 weeks of PTO. Project bonuses based on project profitability and year-end bonus opportunities.
