Position is based in Yates Industrial Birmingham, Alabama. On-site employment only, no remote options. Relocation assistance if required. Must have estimating experience in the Pulp & Paper, Chemical, or Power industries. Ability to estimate pipe, civil, and mechanical disciplines.
Job Summary:
An Industrial Construction Estimator is responsible for calculating the total costs associated with industrial systems projects, from materials and labor to equipment and potential risks. Their primary goal is to produce accurate and competitive bids to help secure contracts and ensure projects stay within budget.
Primary Duties:
o Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices
o Report all incidents, near hits, and hazards to management.
o Required to wear and maintain personal PPE.
o Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations.
o Participate in workplace inspections.
o Comply with statutory requirements, including the duty of care.
o Participate in required and/or assigned training.
o Provide suggestions to improve Safety.
o Present a mature approach to working safely.
o Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.
o Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards, Yates Site Specific Requirements, and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
