General Description: The Estimator builds strategic relationships and business opportunities with commercial and industrial clients seeking commercial concrete construction services. This job entails preparing cost estimates by analyzing project specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements and submitting bid proposals to our customers. This position includes complete ownership of the project budget and requires ongoing communication with the Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop leads and sales of viable and profitable construction projects

Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess scope and conditions

Solicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing

Estimate and bid work from required drawings and specifications, create RFIs, prepare accurate takeoffs, prepare proposals, and follow up with customers

Complete and track budgeting and scheduling for projects

Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services

Monitor productivity and material cost

Provide design recommendations and value engineering alternatives to clients

Lead project turnover meetings to align project managers and field staff on scope, budget, and critical issues

Build and maintain strong, lifelong relationships with General Contractors, owners, and suppliers

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Proficiency with takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff)

3-5 years of estimating experience with a concrete or self-perform contractor preferred

Desire to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, inclusive work environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Current valid driver's license and pre-employment drug screen
