    Description

    • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Under general supervision, the individual competently performs all aspects of developing a preliminary or definitive estimate for electrical & Instrumentation installation utilizing company owned software/spreadsheets.
    • Organizes and compiles drawings and other documents issued for project development work.
    • Prepare detailed material take-offs, perform historical trend analysis and validate bills of quantities.
    • Understand cost and productivity experience and develop cost comparison recommendations for organizational consideration and decision.
    • Recommends and incorporates labor production and material cost decisions into the estimate.
    • Prepares quote scope solicitations for material and subcontracts to support procurement functions.
    • Helps to evaluate scope of work and other factors impacting scope from bid documents.
    • Uses various computer systems and software, including InEight Estimate and various Microsoft Products to analyze data and prepare estimate recommendations.
    • Performs other responsible duties as required to support new project development and support of ongoing jobs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Zachry Group is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator to prepare budgets for E&I equipment/commodities. E&I estimator has the responsibility to develop accurate project estimates. They will be expected to produce quality work, work well with others, and be willing to continuously improve. Successful E&I estimators should have capabilities to evaluate engineered equipment costs, commodity materials and specialized subcontracts.
