Estimator - Construction - Brooklyn
Our client is a leading New York City-based general contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex multifamily and affordable housing developments. With a team of over 200 professionals, they specialize in large-scale residential construction, sustainable building practices, and high-performance projects, consistently delivering quality work throughout the region.
Job Description
Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes to define estimate requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. Measure quantities from drawings and documents to support accurate pricing. Request and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for project bids. Compare bids and cost inputs to identify clear pricing assumptions and gaps. Maintain estimate files, cost worksheets, and supporting documentation. Work with construction team members to clarify scope details and estimate needs. Update estimates when project documents or pricing information changes.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Estimator - Construction - Brooklyn should have: Experience preparing construction cost estimates. Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes. Ability to complete quantity takeoffs and organize cost details. Experience gathering and comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing. Ability to review estimate assumptions and identify missing scope items. Strong attention to detail when maintaining estimate documentation.
