Construction Estimator

My client is a comprehensive construction company enhancing value through their integrated building process. With over 20 years of experience, my client offers design-build, construction management, and general contracting services. They work a diverse variety of projects from historic renovations to new construction for corporate, healthcare, multifamily and entertainment clients.

Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope and budgets. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to support cost estimates. Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure adherence to financial objectives. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to project stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of estimates, budgets, and project costs. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and construction methods.

Previous experience in commercial construction estimating. St. Louis market knowledge. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience working across commercial sectors (retail or office space preferred). Proficiency in estimating software and strong Excel capability. Strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with bid solicitation and quantity take off software. Driven, ambitious mindset with a desire for career progression.
