Our client is a growing general contractor based in Leesburg, VA, with 15+ years in business and projected annual revenue of $35M. Starting with just three employees, they've expanded to a team of 12+, with plans to reach 20. Specializing in design-build, new construction, and interior renovations, they deliver projects ranging from $1M-$20M across commercial, retail, hospitality, multifamily, and medical sectors-primarily in Northern Virginia, with select work in DC and Maryland. Job Description
- Level and compare subcontractor bids
- Identify gaps in coverage and scope discrepancies
- Read and interpret architectural and construction plans thoroughly
- Develop complete scopes of work for all trades
- Perform detailed material take-offs (flooring, trim, drywall, exterior materials, etc.)
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership during preconstruction
- Utilize Bluebeam and BuildingConnected for estimating and bid management

The Successful Applicant
- 5-10 years of experience as a construction estimator (must be currently in an estimating role)
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents
- Experience with material take-offs and scope development
- Proficient in Bluebeam and BuildingConnected
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
