    Description

    At Anchor-Ventana Glass, the Commercial Glazing Estimator is responsible for reviewing blueprints, specifications and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates on construction projects.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bidding construction projects.
    • Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized bids.
    • Cost estimates for a storefront, curtain wall, entrances, hardware, and glass/glazing.
    • Provide detailed scope of work on proposals.
    • Log all bids on Bid Log and follow up/update as needed.
    • Update upcoming jobs to bid, communicate with the team on which jobs were bid or not bid.
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with the construction industry.  Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
    • Verify scope and price of contract matches the bid proposal.
    • Sell products and answer questions for all customers.
    • Perform other duties as required.
     
    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
     
    EDUCATION:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    EXPERIENCE:
    • Three or more years of experience in Estimating with specific knowledge of storefront and glazing application, glass and framing systems, and commercial construction background. 

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    • Knowledge of commercial construction practices. 
    • Working understanding of glass types and framing systems. 
    • Good communication skills and sales ability.
    • Keen attention to detail and organization.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or estimates at one time.
