Estimator and Project Manager - Steel Fab & Erection

Want a role where you bid the work and then build it? A Kansas City steel fabricator and erector specializing in structural and miscellaneous steel packages is looking for an Estimator / Project Manager. This position is a great fit for an early- to mid-career professional eager to develop in both estimating and project management.

What the job involves:

• Perform quantity takeoffs and estimates on structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Keep the shop, field crews, general contractors, and detailers working in sync
• Prepare proposals and bids, including quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Own awarded projects through fabrication and erection, covering schedule, budget, and change orders
• Monitor project costs and process RFIs and submittals

What you bring:

• Experience reading structural and architectural drawings
• Knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• 2-8 years in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction role
• Estimating software experience is a plus
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000, plus a yearly bonus opportunity and a sign-on bonus for top candidates joining from competitors.
