Estimating & Bid Coordinator - Steel Fabricator

Join the estimating team of a structural steel fabricator in The Woodlands, Texas as its Bid Coordinator. You'll be the person who keeps every bid organized and on schedule, starting when an invitation to bid arrives and finishing when a complete proposal goes out the door on time.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Request vendor and subcontractor pricing for detailing, erection, galvanizing, and paint, and follow up until quotes are in
• Stay on top of invitations to bid, due dates, and pre-bid meetings while keeping the bid calendar and log up to date
• Organize plans, specs, and addenda as they're downloaded and get them to the estimators
• Prepare full bid packages and proposals, including forms, bonds, and qualifications, and submit them by the deadline
• Partner with estimators, project managers, and customers to work through clarifications and RFIs
• Record bid results and keep bid board/CRM information accurate

What We're Looking For:

• Strong skills in Excel and document management
• 2 or more years of construction experience in bid coordination, estimating support, or project administration (a steel fabrication background is ideal)
• Confidence reading construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with bid platforms such as BuildingConnected or ConstructConnect
• A highly organized approach and the ability to balance multiple deadlines

Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 per year.
