Estimating Assistant
Purpose: As our Estimating Administrative Assistant, you are the backbone of our estimating process. You will ensure the preconstruction process runs smoothly by managing manage plans, bid tracker, and executing daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented multitasker who combines professional communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Bid Pipeline Management: Manage the central bid invitation inbox, facilitate go/no-go project reviews with the executive team, and log approved opportunities into the bid tracking system.
Document Management: Organize drawings, specifications & general documents as they come in with bids invites
Unit & Material Quantification: Develop detailed unit tabs by extracting accurate counts of fixtures, equipment, and units from project documents to support the estimating teams pricing process.
Compliance & Licensing: Collaborate seamlessly with the licensing team to identify correct trade licenses and required ratios for upcoming projects we may bid
General Administration: Serve as the communication hub when projects come online for our operations & other support teams
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Detail Oriented
Self-motivated
Strong computer skills: MS Office, Google applications, Acrobat, etc.
Office etiquette and very professional demeanor
General office equipment knowledge: copying, scanning, etc.
Problem solving skills
High school diploma/GED
Ability to make common sense decisions & work independently within the scope of the position
Strong written and verbal communication skills with professionalism
Strong computer competencies (MS Office applications, Google applications, etc)
Willingness to learn new skills & the want to improve
Friendly demeanor
Customer service oriented
Team player who is willing to help in other departments
