We are seeking a local, practicing, and entrepreneurial-minded Pediatric physician who is passionate about serving our community and interested in joining our physician-owned group in early 2027.

To support a successful transition and practice growth, the ideal candidate will have an established patient following and the ability to bring patients with them as they begin their new practice with Esse Health.

Practice Highlights:

• Join a collaborative team of two Pediatric physician partners in your clinic, with additional Pediatricians and multi-disciplinary colleagues across the group
• Opportunity to gradually take over a physician’s panel, with mentorship and warm patient hand-offs as they transition toward retirement
• Outpatient practice with opportunity to do newborn rounding and flexibility to focus on clinical interests (ADHD, mental health, obesity, etc.)
• Opportunity to mentor and teach medical students and residents if desired

Schedule & Hours:

• Clinic hours:
• • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule: 4.5 days patient care + 0.5 day administrative, with greater flexibility as a shareholder

Call:

• Minimal outpatient phone call only — rare, triaged first via St. Louis Children's Hospital, and shared among partners 

Patient Volume:

• Gradual onboarding ramp-up to build confidence with the EMR, flow, and coding
• Target 20-25 patients/day as comfort and efficiency increase for financial success 

Procedures & Office Details:

• In-office procedures based on physician preference; precepting available for those interested in learning
• • Current procedures performed include abscesses, Nexplanon, Dermabond, suturing, Steri-Strips, etc.
  • OBs do circumcisions
• In-house testing includes strep, RSV, flu, COVID, pregnancy, and more 

Support & Staff:

• Partner with a dedicated, long-tenured team including an office manager, two Medical Assistants, and other support staff
• Access to additional care-extending resources outside the clinic, including behavioral health, diabetic educators, and more
• A strong network of 100 physician partners committed to collaborative patient care and practice excellence

• Telehealth, AI scribe, and Dragon dictation available
• NextGen EMR

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with plans to certify (ABMS or AOA)
• Missouri licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in Missouri
