Esports Student Assistant - Alaska Esports
Add to favorites View favorites
Alaska Esports is UAF's competitive collegiate esports program: seven teams, three varsity, and a community built around the idea that this program should feel like home. We run campus tournaments, public gaming events, and live broadcasts out of the Wood Center.
We are hiring student staff across three tracks. Each track leads a distinct pillar of the program. You are not applying for a generic assistant role. You are applying for a specific leadership position with real ownership and real accountability. Read the three tracks below and apply to the one that fits you.
THE TRACKS
Operations and Varsity Manager:
Owns the facility, the equipment, and the competitive infrastructure for three varsity teams in the National Esports Collegiate Conference. You manage match-day logistics, equipment inventory, player eligibility tracking, and coordination with Wood Center operations. If something in the space is broken, missing, or behind schedule, that's on you.
Events Coordinator:
Owns every event this program runs, from concept to cleanup. You plan it, staff it, run it, debrief it, and make it better next time. All other staff report to you during events. This is not a support position. You also build relationships with campus departments to create co-programming opportunities.
Broadcast and Media Lead:
Owns how this program looks to the outside world. You run all broadcast production, create social media visuals, enforce graphic standards, and maintain the media archive. You decide what meets the quality bar to represent UAF publicly. You coordinate with the Events Coordinator on streams and media capture during events.
No esports background required but gamers is a plus. We care about:
what to do.
the public.
Graphic design or streaming software experience (especially for Broadcast
and Media)

flexible. If your schedule cannot consistently accommodate that, this is not
the right fit.
