POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR ST. CLAIR COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM Board Approved December 17, 2018

TITLE: ESL Teacher

JOB GOAL: To coordinate the assessment, placement, and instruction of ESL students in a designated service area. To serve as a resource to the staff and faculty at each of the schools in the assigned area through large group in-service and individual consultations. To work collaboratively with the Federal Programs Coordinator to develop program guidelines and to compile program data.

Interprets and uses data for instructional planning and teaching, and program evaluation. Participates in district meetings, state meetings, and other activities that relate to professional development and effective school instruction as approved by the school Participates in the school improvement process and the implementation of school improvement plans, accreditation and accountability reports, and other required plans.
