Division: Adult and Community Education

Reports to: Dr. Tyler Harvey, Data, Assessment, and Accountability Coordinator

Hours: 12-15 hours per week, all morning availability (9:00am-1:00pm)

Pay: Hourly, $18-$22, depending on education level and experience

Contract Type: Part-time, temporary, semester to semester

The College and Career Readiness program is a program that is designed to support students who are obtaining their High School Equivalency Diploma, learn English as a Second Language Program, obtain citizenship, and transition into the college and workforce. We are a state and federally funded program.

Example of Duties

  1. Support our English as a Second Language program by conducting intake sessions, which involve assessment testing and paperwork.

  2. Use critical analysis skills in determining proper pre- and post- assessments for students enrolled in our English as a Second Language classes.

  3. Create a positive and welcoming environment for new or returning students into the program.

  4. Certify in TABE assessments.

  5. Support our Assessment Operations in state and federal compliance by understanding and applying assessment policies and procedures

  6. Willing to be flexible and adapt to scheduling needs of potential students entering our program.

  7. Manage and follow up with appointment listings, using effective documentation techniques.

Typical Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have a high school diploma or greater. The candidate for this role should also be bilingual (plus, but not required).
