Description

Reporting to the ESIS National Sales Leader, the ESIS Business Development Manager (BDM) leads regional sales strategies for unbundled opportunities and opportunities bundled with Chubb Global Casualty. The BDM is responsible for building relationships with prospective clients, engaging key decision-makers, and generating profitable new business within the region. This role participates in the ESIS sales compensation incentive plan and offers significant earning potential.

Note: This hybrid position requires three days in the office and two days working from home when not traveling.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Sells ESIS products, services, and processes within the defined market and territory.
  • Identifies, develops, and maintains relationships and partnerships with insurance brokers, consultants, and targeted clients.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with prospective clients and leads.
  • Develops a strong pipeline of clients to support short- and long-term sales goals.
  • Establishes sales strategies and tactics for the assigned territory.
  • Supports the client implementation process following a new sale to help ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Researches and analyzes prospective clients' operations to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Identifies resources needed to meet each prospect's requirements.
  • Coordinates resources to support timely and accurate responses to RFPs, proposals, and presentations, including appropriate pricing models. Serves as the lead in the sales process, including presentations and negotiations.
  • Develops and implements an annual sales and service plan, including identifying prospective clients, forecasting needs, and presenting ESIS capabilities.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions with new clients to support long-term relationships and profitability.
  • Works within assigned authority levels and collaborates with management and other ESIS leaders to ensure legal and compliance requirements are met.
  • Meets or exceeds annual regional sales goals and objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance, risk management, and claims management services.
  • Prior Third Party Administrator (TPA) experience preferred.
  • Sales or business development experience required.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on profitability and efficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Understanding of how sales strategy supports business results.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills to track and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

The base salary range for the role is $102,000 to $148,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
