Amazon is seeking an experienced ERP Reporting and Analytics Solution Architect to define and lead the reporting, analytics, and financial-data architecture for a large-scale transformation of Amazon's Finance ERP platform.
This role sits at the intersection of Accounting, Finance, Data, Product, Solution Architecture, and Engineering. The architect will be responsible for translating complex financial reporting requirements into a scalable architecture spanning operational reporting, embedded analytics, management reporting, statutory reporting, self-service analytics, enterprise data products, and downstream data consumption.
The solution landscape may include SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, CDS views, Fiori analytical applications, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office, SAP Databricks, and enterprise reporting and data platforms.
The successful candidate will define how financial data is modeled, governed, transformed, published, and consumed across the reporting ecosystem. You will partner with Accounting, Controllership, Finance, ERP Product, Data Governance, Engineering, SAP, and implementation partners to establish architecture standards, evaluate reporting tools, define semantic models, and guide solutions through design, build, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
This role requires an individual who can move between detailed financial reporting requirements and enterprise data-architecture decisions. You will need to understand how accounting structures, hierarchies, currencies, consolidation requirements, reporting dimensions, data latency, security, and performance expectations translate into an integrated and maintainable reporting architecture.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
You will work across Accounting, Data, Product, and Engineering teams to shape Amazon's Finance reporting architecture. A typical day may include selecting the right platform for a reporting requirement, reviewing a financial data model, resolving reconciliation or performance issues, or defining how SAP data should be published downstream. You will partner with SAP, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to make design decisions, manage dependencies, and simplify the reporting landscape. You will also communicate architecture trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders.
