SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
The ERP Inventory & Production Operations Lead is responsible for the day-to-day execution, accuracy and integrity of core ERP processes supporting inventory transactions, production work orders, purchasing/receiving, fulfillment and month-end activities. This position serves as the primary functional resource for ERP processes, investigates and resolves transactional discrepancies, maintains ERP-related master data and BOM accuracy, and provides reporting and process support to Production, Purchasing, Accounting and other business functions. Accountable for:
- Owns and Executes ERP transactional processes supporting Live Goods inventory throughout its life cycle.
- Manages the ERP transaction lifecycle for Live Goods from receipt through production work order processing and finished-goods inventory creation for fulfillment.
- Research, investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies in SAP.
- Process inventory write ons/write offs, goods receipts, and goods issues.
- Supports quarterly cycle counts by reconciling physical count results with ERP records and processing required system adjustments.
- BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy maintenance.
- Research and investigate a variety of past due reports within SAP.
- Works with spreadsheets generated from SAP for Production and Net Requirements.
- Raw data collection and SAP entry.
- Assists with Purchasing requests, GRPOs, GRTNs, and other SAP purchasing and inventory functions.
- Assists Production team with maintaining accuracy of Assembled Goods Production Work Orders and helps process work orders into inventory.
- Weekly and monthly executive reports.
- Participates in Month End requirements.
- Create and maintain standardized operating procedures for ERP processes.
- Lead ERP Production Assistant.
Requirements:
SPECIFIC SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; or 5+ years of relevant ERP, inventory transaction, or production work-order experience.
- Advanced Excel skills required. Candidates will be tested on PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, data reconciliation and other advanced formulas.
- ERP experience required; experience with SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle NetSuite preferred. SAP Business One experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of ERP-based inventory transactions, production work orders, and data integrity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Production, Sales, Accounting, Purchasing, and other business functions.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand ERP processes and become the primary functional resource for ERP processes at the location.
- Horticulture knowledge a plus
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English a plus
- Demonstrated initiative and desire for professional growth within a fast-paced organization.
