Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions. The SAP solutions organization provides SAP IT services to Supply Chain, Finance, Work & Asset Management and HR lines of business. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design, delivery and support.

Position Summary

The IT SAP Finance Functional Analyst, Expert is responsible for Finance applications support, works with cross functional teams to design/develop solutions and is well versed with all phases of the software lifecycle, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support. He/she works with a team of functional, technical experts, business SMEs, vendors, and consultants to maintain current SAP ECC system and other applications required to support PG&E business.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The work location is Oakland, CA.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Pay range is:? $126,000 - $179,300

Qualifications

Minimum:

• BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience

• 7 years experience designing, configuring and developing complex solutions using SAP FICO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, etc.)

• Strong understanding of ERP interrelationships and dependencies of related modules and systems

Desired:

• SAP S/4 implementation and / or support experience

• Experience in SAP EAM, SD and SCM modules

• Experience in SAP Ariba

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in writing requirements documents, functional specifications and preparing business process flows.

• Experience with designing new enhancements, reports, and interfaces with non-SAP systems

• Experience with integrations (Concur, Taulia, PowerPlan, UI Planner, Kofax, other modules/applications)

• Experience in implementing SAP BTP solutions

• Utility experience

• Demonstrates familiarity in the following areas: SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, operational / disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Business Process AnalysisCollaborating with stakeholders and finance teams to analyze current financial processes, gathering requirements, and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. Provide expert consulting to the production support teams to identify and resolve production issues, support month end close, and suggest system/process improvement ideas.
  
• System Configuration and ImplementationTranslating business requirements into SAP functionalities by configuring the SAP FICO modules (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, etc.) to align with organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
  
• Design and DocumentationDeveloping detailed functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects) and maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and user procedures.
  
• Testing and ValidationPerforming and coordinating various testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the system functions correctly and meets business needs.
  
• User Support and TrainingProviding end-user support, troubleshooting, and resolving SAP application issues, and developing and delivering training materials and sessions to educate users on effective system usage.
  
• Reporting and AnalysisDesigning and developing financial reports and dashboards (often using tools like Report Painter/Writer) to support financial analysis, decision-making, and compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
  
• Integration and CollaborationWorking closely with technical (ABAP developers) and cross-functional teams (e.g., EAM, MM, SD, PP modules) to ensure seamless integration between different SAP modules and third-party systems.
  
• Compliance and ImprovementEnsuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, and continuously reviewing and optimizing SAP FICO functionalities and best practices to enhance efficiency.
