ERP Distribution Consultant

Working directly with other ComTec Solutions team members and clients, you have the responsibility to accurately understand the clients’ business needs and provide a solution that will range from simple to complex. Accurately scoping problems to understand business challenges and offering effective solutions that may include one or more of the following: user training, system changes, business process improvements, existing application functionality.

JOB SUMMARY:

As an ERP Distribution Consultant for ComTec Solutions, you are responsible for providing consulting support to our clients who are distributors using Prophet 21 as their ERP. Working directly with other ComTec Solutions team members and clients, you have the responsibility to accurately understand the clients’ business needs and provide a solution that will range from simple to complex. You will deliver software implementations via consulting activities from kickoff to Go-Live on time, on budget and to the agreed scope, as well as provide ongoing client support.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Be the trusted advisor to clients on system configuration and implementation, using Epicor’s signature methodology for problem identification, implementation, documentation, testing and training
• Communicate with customers to determine needs, and contribute solution design as well as overall business strategy
• Interpret requirements data and identify any gaps between current state of purchased modules and desired functionality in future state
• Manage project issues and coordinate activities and schedules with both clients and internal team members to resolve in an effective and timely manner
• Assist with generating quote specifications and proposal generation
• Ability to adhere to project timelines and meet Service Level Agreement goals
• Provide support for clients in a help desk capacity and assist in troubleshooting application questions
• Provide on-site training and consulting for clients if necessary

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain daily timesheet and expense report entries and submit them accurately and timely

· Other duties as required

Requirements:

  

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

· Working knowledge of P21 with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

· Experience with WWMS or similar warehouse management systems is preferred.

· Strong background in process review and design.

· Excellent administrative and organizational skills.

· Outstanding virtual and in-person verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE:

· Epicor Prophet 21 “super-user” or administrator experience (ideally 3-4 years).

· Distribution environment experience OR P21 consulting experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, finance, or related field is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Use of computer and office equipment

· Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

· Performs all administrative functions expected at this level

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience with Crystal Reports, API, and/or third-party integration. 

Compensation details: 75000-125000 Yearly Salary
