Location: Elkhart, IN
Salary: $55.00 - $65.00/hr
Overview
We are seeking an experienced ERP Selection & Advisory Consultant to lead the evaluation, selection, and strategic planning of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, helping the organization identify business requirements, assess software solutions, facilitate vendor evaluations, and develop an implementation roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives.
The ideal candidate combines deep ERP expertise with strong business acumen and has successfully guided organizations through ERP modernization initiatives within manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, and operationally complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ERP discovery sessions with executive stakeholders and business leaders.
- Evaluate current business processes, workflows, systems, and operational challenges.
- Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Develop ERP selection criteria and vendor evaluation frameworks.
- Facilitate RFP/RFI processes and coordinate vendor responses.
- Manage ERP vendor demonstrations, workshops, and stakeholder feedback sessions.
- Conduct solution comparisons and provide objective recommendations.
- Assess ERP platform fit across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Reporting functions.
- Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and implementation roadmaps.
- Advise leadership on change management, resource planning, and organizational readiness.
- Identify implementation risks and mitigation strategies.
- Support executive decision-making throughout the ERP selection process.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of ERP consulting, enterprise applications, or IT leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading ERP evaluations, selections, upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, warehousing, and operational business processes.
- Experience working directly with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Exceptional requirements gathering, business analysis, and process improvement skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience managing multiple vendors and third-party implementation partners.
