    Description

    This is a Registered Nurse opportunity in the Emergency Department at a 140+ bed acute care hospital in Lake City, FL. The hospital is an Accredited Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology, and holds Disease Specific Certification in the treatment of Sepsis by the Joint Commission.

    The role. The Emergency Department RN delivers individualized, comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the broader care team. The RN conducts regular pain assessments and reassessments following intervention, and carries out procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers while maintaining thorough, timely documentation in the patient medical record. A key part of this role involves translating complex medical information into clear, understandable language — educating patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications and side effects, and follow-up care. The RN also prepares patients and families for self-management after discharge, including guidance on lifestyle changes such as nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.

    What we're looking for.

    • Associate Degree in Nursing
    • Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • 1 year of Acute Care ER RN experience required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    Schedule. Mixed rotating schedule with night shifts, including rotating weekends.

    Compensation. $30.60 - $45.90/hr
