    Job Summary

    We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Emergency Room (ER) Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ER Nurse will assess, prioritize, and treat patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate is experienced in emergency nursing, critical thinking, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care under pressure.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform rapid patient assessments and triage according to acuity.

    • Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients with emergency medical conditions.

    • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.

    • Assist physicians during emergency procedures and trauma resuscitations.

    • Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment.

    • Operate emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and defibrillators.

    • Respond to medical emergencies, trauma activations, stroke alerts, and cardiac arrests.

    • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

    • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, EMS personnel, and interdisciplinary teams.

    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.

    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.


    Required Qualifications

    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience.

    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

    • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

    • Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.

    • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency environments.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).

    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

    • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification.

    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification.

    • Experience with trauma centers or Level I/II emergency departments.

    • Experience with electronic medical records (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
