    Description

    A 435+ bed full-service hospital in Arlington, TX is seeking an ER Manager to lead day-to-day operations of its Emergency Department. The facility offers heart & vascular, brain & spine, emergency and trauma, cancer care, orthopedics, surgical, and women's services.

    The role. Reporting to the Director of ED or AVP, the ER Manager oversees the clinical and operational functions of the Emergency Department, including patient care coordination, resource management, staffing, supplies, and equipment. The manager maintains personnel files covering orientation, competency, disciplinary actions, and attendance, and coordinates the staffing schedule and staff evaluations. This role serves as a key resource for both nursing staff and physicians, reviews departmental statistics and records for quality performance issues, and coordinates ED nursing education and protocol updates. The manager also coordinates with community and area Emergency Medical Services — including performance improvement issues related to pre-hospital care — and participates in disaster planning at the department, hospital, community, and regional advisory council levels.

    What we're looking for.

    • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
    • 5 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in an Emergency Department
    • 2+ years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care ER Leadership experience
    • Current Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required
    • Pre-hospital EMS experience preferred
    • Previous trauma coordinator experience preferred
    • Leadership/Management experience preferred
    • CEN, TNCC, ENPC/PALS preferred

    Schedule. Evening shift, 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM.

    Compensation. $56.74 - $85.11/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
