Job Overview
The Equipment Tech Lead is responsible for safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining appropriate par levels for each department and will provide some work direction to custodial staff.

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Work the daily shift as an Equipment Technician
Develop working schedules for staff
Help coordinate technicians’ activities
Ensure consistent communication among Technicians
Strive to reduce idle equipment and improve cleanliness
Improve order response time
If all areas are stocked and orders filled - help clean
Communicate with runners
Communicate with stakeholders
Perform spot checks throughout the shift
Escalate Clinical concerns to Supervisor and improve cleanliness
If all areas are stocked and orders filled - help clean
Training of new employees on work instructions
Retraining post audit findings as applicable
Walk and or stand for long periods of time
Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff
Appropriately clean and disinfect medical equipment using the approved disinfectant
Able to read par sheets and inventory levels
Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes
Obtain supplies via Stock Acquisition Process
Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
Operate pushcart for transporting equipment
Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
Stop at risk behavior of others and self
Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
Perform repetitive tasks
Maintain clean work area
Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
Take direction and respond to supervision
Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
Fill in during staff shortage
Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
Use proper personal protective equipment
Present a professional appearance and conduct
Understand customer service and satisfaction
Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
Qualification

Education and/ or Experience:
High school diploma / GED required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Completed all safety and task training certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Compensation and Shift:
Sunday-Thursday 10:30am-7pm off every Friday and Saturday.
$17.00- $18.00 per hour
