Purpose of Position
Provide support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs. Works under the supervision of engineering staff but can execute simple projects independently.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with engineering team members as well as union trades and operators to address equipment breakdowns.
- Interacts with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment for repair related items.
- Interpret high-level technical documentation including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics.
- Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility related equipment.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in mechanical, or related field. Experience in lieu of education is an option for this position.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands-on experience
- Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply across a wide range of applications.
- High level of organization
- US Citizenship required
Desired Education and Experience:
- Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar CAD software
- Experience with MS Office, Project & SharePoint
Hours: Typically, 7 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday.
Travel: Negligible
