    Position Summary:

    The Equipment Technician will use technical skills to maintain and to support the manufacturing line in both a cleanroom and non-cleanroom environment. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will take part in multiple tasks, such as preforming preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance to manufacturing equipment, operator qualifications via visual inspection, functional testing, and destructive testing. Perform and support a variety of process development and engineering activities, which focus on supporting the manufacturing lines. Will work directly with other production operators, manufacturing technicians and manufacturing engineers to complete duties described below.

    Essential Functions:

    • Effectively work on multiple project tasks for timely completion.

    • Perform equipment installation and qualification on process equipment as well as Automated Test Equipment.

    • Assist in process characterization and process validation testing.

    • Support and trouble shoot Automated Test Equipment.

    • Assist engineers with process design, development, and optimization.

    • Perform root cause investigation and analysis.

    • Prepare test samples (products/materials/solutions) for routine and operator qualification testing.

    • Assist in the transfer of product from contract manufacturers to internal manufacturing site

    • Fabrication of fixtures and tooling for product builds and testing (i.e. mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, etc.).

    • Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

    • Create and maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, test methods, processes, trouble shooting guides.

    • Train other technicians, operators and engineers on procedures and product assembly.

    • Ensure compliance of the organization's management systems to guarantee effectiveness and adherence to established policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a manufacturing technician (or relevant experience) in the medical device industry is desired.

    • Must be able to work overtime as needed to meet business needs.

    • Able to read in English language.

    • Basic knowledge of electronics and electronics assemblies, preferred.

    • Background in Laser Welding preferred.

    • Basic knowledge of machine shop tools, drill press, grinders, is preferred.

    • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and laboratory practices.

    • Medical devices experience is preferred.

    • Ability to analyze and solve problems.

    • Proficient with MS Office.

    • Comfortable working in a clean room environment.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with all cross-functional team members.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

    • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

    • Employee may be required to lift objects up to 25lbs.

    • Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

    • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

    • Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
