Equipment Technician

Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility related equipment. Responsibilities: Provide support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs.

Our client, a Business Manufacturing and Supply company, is looking for an Equipment Technician for their Canton, NY location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs.
• Works under the supervision of engineering staff but can execute simple projects independently.
• Collaborate daily with engineering team members as well as union trades and operators to address equipment breakdowns.
• Interacts with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment for repair related items.
• Interpret high-level technical documentation including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics.
• Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility related equipment.

 
Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, or related field; Experience in lieu of education is an option for this position.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands-on experience
• Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply across a wide range of applications.
• High level of organization
• Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar CAD software
• Experience with MS Office, Project & SharePoint
