Job Summary
The Mechanic is responsible for managing fleet, 2-cycle, and small equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
In-House Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on 2-cycle handheld equipment, commercial mowers, and utility vehicles.
Blade Care & Tool Maintenance: Sharpen, grind, balance, and replace lawn mower blades and hedge trimmer blades.
Trailer & Basic Electrical: Perform basic 12V trailer wiring fixes, light replacements, and tire pressure checks.
Vendor & Mobile Service Scheduling: Serve as the primary branch point of contact to schedule and coordinate on-site vendor services.
Education and Experience:
Willing to Train
Experience preferred with basic truck and vehicle maintenance and repair
Small engine and 2-cycle experience preferred
Organizational skills, ability to operate a phone and computer
Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
Repetitive movement: standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping
Work Environment:
Noise level in work environment is usually moderate
Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, including sun, rain, cold
