Pay Range: $50 - $55 on W2

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer / Equipment Software Validation Engineer to join the Equipment Engineering team supporting manufacturing and test equipment used to produce robotic systems, instruments, and accessories. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing and qualifying software for manufacturing equipment, developing and executing software test plans, implementing test automation, troubleshooting production software, and supporting validation activities in a regulated environment. This role requires close collaboration with Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, and other engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, execute, document, and release software test plans, test scripts, and automated testing programs for manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Perform software testing and validation activities to qualify manufacturing equipment and ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Support production software by troubleshooting issues, analyzing test results, debugging problems, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Implement software testing best practices and automation approaches to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with Equipment Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and other technical teams to plan and coordinate multidisciplinary testing and validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, test standards, procedures, validation records, and other software qualification deliverables.
Must-Have Skills:
  • 2+ years of professional software testing experience with hands-on experience in software validation and qualification.
  • Experience testing manufacturing equipment, automated devices, or product-testing systems.
  • Experience with automated software/device testing, including development or execution of automated test scripts.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with software validation in medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with business and engineering tools such as JIRA, Confluence, PLM systems, or Smartsheet.
  • Experience supporting production software, manufacturing systems, or equipment engineering environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working closely with Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams.
  • Strong ability to work independently, overcome technical roadblocks, and take ownership of testing and validation activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple technical and support teams.
Work Location:Onsite – 5 days per week
