    Equipment Service Agent

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a hands-on Equipment Service Agent to provide remote and on-site technical support for electro-mechanical equipment. This position is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills who enjoys field service, working independently, and collaborating with customer service and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide phone and email technical support and troubleshoot equipment issues remotely.
    • Manage service cases and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
    • Perform on-site equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, installations, and customer training.
    • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment issues.
    • Partner with Engineering to identify root causes and resolve recurring equipment problems.
    • Manage replacement parts, service inventory, and customer fulfillment needs.
    • Perform equipment testing, failure analysis, repairs, and refurbishment as needed.
    • Support continuous improvement efforts related to service processes, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and equipment issues.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent plus technical, trade, or vocational training required.
    • Degree or additional education in electrical, mechanical, renewable energy, or a related technical field preferred.
    • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, motors, motion systems, electro-mechanical equipment, or equipment maintenance.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on ladders and in confined or tight spaces.
    • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
    • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Jira, or Confluence is a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
    • Ability to travel throughout North America up to 15%.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
